This week brought a welcome return to night testing — a reminder of where the NJRC journey really began. More than a decade spent in testing and commissioning has shaped who we are today and underpins the practical value we bring to every project.
We’re currently on-site in Dublin with Iarnród Éireann / Irish Rail, working on the next steps in ETCS operational readiness. Our focus this week: human factors within ETCS scenarios for train drivers — ensuring that the technology and its application are not only safe, but intuitive, reliable, and operationally sound.

Applying Experience Where It Matters Most
Testing isn’t just about systems working — it’s about how people work with systems.
By bringing first-hand, real-world ETCS experience to the table, NJRC is helping shape a training and operational approach that:
Speeds up the learning curve for drivers
Builds confidence in the cab environment
Supports safe and efficient adoption of digital signalling
Reduces uncertainty as operational change progresses
This level of insight can only come from specialists who have been there — in the cab, trackside, and at the heart of commissioning activities.
Collaboration at its Best
Across these programmes, we’re proud to stand alongside partners including Deutsche Bahn, Irish Rail, and Alstom. The teamwork, knowledge-sharing, and commitment displayed by all parties is accelerating the delivery of safer, smarter, digitally enabled railway operations.
It’s proof that collaboration fuels progress.
Passion in Every Solution
At NJRC, our mission is simple: Deliver effective solutions — backed by passion, experience, and operational excellence.
If your project needs expert support — whether for ETCS, operational readiness, or complex programme delivery — we’re here and ready to help.
Let’s push your goals forward together.
